Looking inward is a weekday skill. That is the whole thesis. Not an IQ you raise. Not a type you either have or you missed. Not a clinic that develops you into peace. The live title asked why intrapersonal intelligence is important and how to develop it. I will not keep IQ as a rank. I will not keep develop as a score. I will keep four weekday notes about how those slogans actually behave at a desk.

Howard Gardner is the named thinker here, with respect. In the 1980s he sketched more than one kind of intelligence — language, space, music, the person in front of you, and the person already here. I am not a psychologist. I do not deliver his theory as a test. I will keep the weekday size: looking in is one skill among others. It is not a contest with numbers. It is not a better-person certificate.

Two cousins already hold a different job. This URL does not clone either. Four rooms of emotional intelligence — not a contest with IQ: The four components of emotional intelligence more important than iq. Feeling is not an IQ you raise — ordinary noticing: How to raise your spiritual and emotional iq. Use that permalink for the four rooms. Use this one when the search was intrapersonal intelligence.

I write as a public educator. Take one noticing into the week, or none, and leave. If you wanted a coach, an IQ you raise, a celebrity club of brilliant minds, a 1:1 who will develop your inner self, or a promise that looking treats a diagnosis, this is the wrong door — on purpose. New here? Start here. Who I am: About. Daily noticing: Wellness.

This page is not a rival ladder. Canon is nine movements on a spiral: The 9 stages of spiritual self realization. Naming a jaw on Monday is texture, not a tenth stage you fail.

This is not a peace guarantee. Moods have weather. Some weather needs a clinician. If a feeling is larger than a grey week — a mood that will not lift, a body that is not safe, a mind that is planning harm — stop. That is a clinician. In a crisis, local emergency services, not this inbox. The rule sits on Disclaimer.

Four notes, not a development rank

You do not need all four. Number one is not holier than number four. Pick the slogan that is loud this Tuesday.

  1. Looking in is a skill, not an IQ rank
  2. A page is a page
  3. A quieter minute
  4. One screen down

1. Looking in is a skill, not an IQ rank

The live opening sold a brand-new theory: instead of an IQ test based on logic and numbers, several ways a person could be intelligent — linguistic, spatial, musical, inter and intrapersonal. Then: looking inwards; more aware of feelings and triggers; self-motivated; enjoys being alone; comfortable with their own being.

I dropped IQ as a dunk and as a throne. I dropped more-aware-than-others as a club. I dropped self-motivated as a productivity product. I dropped enjoys-being-alone as a personality you must have. I will keep: looking in is a skill you can visit. Heat in the face. A jaw since breakfast. Why that remark landed. Sometimes it is a value. Sometimes it is hunger.

Eighteen behaviours as a mirror, not a diagnosis: 18 things a self aware person does without realizing it. Looking as a weekday habit — not a better-person rank: How to be more self aware and strive to be a better person. This URL does not clone those lists. What you may take: one inward look, named as a look. Not a score. Not a type.

2. A page is a page

The live important heading sold this intelligence as essential to living at peace; to be truly content you will need to develop it. Then self-motivation and self-discipline as skills that come naturally; without them you coast. Then self-esteem, a cool head, getting what you want. Brilliant minds named as known to have been intrapersonally intelligent.

I dropped essential-to-peace as a guarantee. I dropped truly-content as a product of a score. I dropped self-discipline as a talent verdict. I dropped cool-head-gets-what-you-want as a win. I dropped brilliant-minds as a celebrity club. I will keep: a page is a surface. One true line — “I am angry about the meeting” — is manners toward your own hour. You do not owe this page a root. Inner speech as a conversation you can hear, not a stop-cure: 8 easy ways to stop negative internal dialogue.

What you may take: one line on a page you already own. Not a peace you must produce. Not a clinic.

3. A quieter minute

The live how-to sold writing as the most-often-recommended practice: a journal; unfold your own mind; a healthy voice becomes your inner voice; access the subconscious. Then meditation, yoga, walking, running; clear clutter; slow down so you do not react too quickly.

I dropped most-often as a rank. I dropped unfold-your-mind as a guarantee. I dropped subconscious-access as a protocol. I dropped yoga as a class I deliver. I will keep: one quieter minute is allowed. A walk you actually inhabit is already a practice if you let it be one: Learn how walking mindfully can improve your health. Numbered drills, if you wanted a minute: 12 mindfulness exercises to start using daily. Named sitting traditions have their own teachers. I do not take you as a meditation client.

What you may take: one unimproved minute. Not a wellbeing treatment. Not a mood you must produce at the end of it.

4. One screen down

The live last heading sold disconnect: remove phones, TV, computers; they fill our minds; switch off; reconnect to yourself; think clearer and more independently; inner wisdom; better management of emotions; no more spontaneous tears or easily triggered anger; set goals and achieve them.

I dropped no-more-tears as a cure. I dropped easily-triggered-anger as a diagnosis I reverse from a paragraph. I dropped clearer-and-achieve-goals as a productivity gospel. I dropped switch-off as a protocol that makes a night-shift parent a failure. I will keep: one screen down is allowed. One kettle without a second rectangle. Not a digital fast I police. Not a vow that never leaves the chair.

I might be wrong is already a weekday practice, not a rank — a cousin in a different clothes: Why intellectual humility is important how to develop it. This URL does not clone that caution. What you may take: one hour with one less feed. Then the next ordinary act. Not a wisdom upgrade.

How little is enough

Pick one. One inward look. One line on a page. One quieter minute. One screen down. Not an IQ you raise. Not a development rank. Not a clinic.

Intrapersonal intelligence is not a product I deliver from a library. I do not take 1:1 clients. There is no call to book. Leave with one practice, or with the Tuesday you already had.

Next: Wellness, The four components of emotional intelligence more important than iq, How to raise your spiritual and emotional iq, 18 things a self aware person does without realizing it, How to be more self aware and strive to be a better person, 12 mindfulness exercises to start using daily, Start here, About, Disclaimer.

This page is education, not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan. I write as Ultimate Wellness, a public educator — not a doctor, not an HPCSA-registered dietitian, and not a therapist. I don’t take 1:1 coaching clients from this library; take one useful idea and use it. If you have a condition, take medication, or need care, please see your own clinician — more on Disclaimer.
