Two ordinary words get used as if they were a rank. Consciousness. Awareness. People ask which one is higher. I will not run that exam.

The live title set them against each other, then walked through opinions, emotions as downloads, brains rewired like capacitors, faster frequencies, eight billion realities, Absolute Truth known by The One, and a skit in which Awareness tells Consciousness to trust intuition while being fearless. I will not. I do not run a physics of looking. I do not sell extrasensory perception. I do not sit you in a dialogue with a capital letter. I will keep attention language: two words for looking, not a ladder.

This page is a complement, not a clone. Using attention, not a new ladder — five weekday practices — already has a home: How to use your consciousness for a better life. Awareness as weekday practice, not gifts you gain: 5 gifts you gain from embracing conscious awareness. Seven practices that make awareness easier — a menu, not a ranking: 7 behaviors that increase awareness and improve your life. Use those when you wanted a drill. Use this permalink when the search was the two words themselves. You do not need a fourth practice list.

I write as a public educator. Take one distinction into the week, or none, and leave. If you wanted a guru, a reading, a certificate of consciousness, a frequency you can raise, or a promise that looking treats a diagnosis, this is the wrong door — on purpose. New here? Start here. Who I am: About. Daily practices: Wellness. Inner maps: Metaphysics.

This page is not a rival ladder. Canon remains nine movements on a spiral. The early band is already this work: something is missing / I wake up, then I study myself. You will loop. You can look and still forget by Thursday. That is the shape of the thing: The 9 stages of spiritual self realization. An optional third dialect — ten numbered “levels” — is park-as-optional, not a rival exam: 10 levels of consciousness. You can ignore the number and lose nothing.

If a feeling is larger than a grey week, stop. Get help that is allowed to help. In a crisis, local emergency services, not this inbox. The rule sits on Disclaimer.

Two words, one looking

I use the words loosely on purpose, because English already does.

Consciousness, as I teach it here, is the fact of being awake in a life: there is a someone to whom this hour is happening. Not a frequency. Not a capacitor you rewire. Not a rank over the neighbour who is washing dishes on automatic. Automatic is ordinary. Hands wash. The mind is already in a corridor that has not happened. That split is not a spiritual crime.

Awareness, as I teach it here, is noticing a particular thing: this sip, this tightness, this opinion arriving as if it were a fact. It is the beam, not the room. Forgetting the beam is the default. Remembering once is the practice.

You do not have to keep my split. Traditions have used both words, and others, for overlapping country. I name that with respect. I do not deliver those schools. I am not a priest. Two truths as a named map, not a rank, already lives elsewhere if the question was relative and ultimate: Relative truth ultimate truth. Nonduality as a map, not a school I run: How to implement non duality in your life.

What I will not do is turn the split into a contest. Knowledge is not a power you flex. Wisdom is not a peace you fail. The live post closed on that slogan. A clear minute can be useful. A grey minute is still a minute. Neither graduates you.

An opinion is not the same as looking

A thought can arrive dressed as knowledge. “I already know this.” “They are wrong.” “This feeling proves the story.” That is ordinary. It is how a Tuesday starts arguments.

What I will keep from the live essay is smaller than a download from the subconscious. An opinion is a sentence. A feeling is information about the sentence — tightness, heat, a lift — not a stamp that the sentence is true. Paying attention to how you feel in this moment can tell you that you care, that you are scared, that you are bored. It cannot tell you that you have obtained ALL of the potential information. It cannot tell you that eight billion people are running partial movies and only The One has Absolute Truth. I dropped that cosmology.

Skepticism is allowed. So is changing your mind when someone in the room actually knows the thing. The live post asked whether you would rather learn, or stay miserable by defending an opinion. I will keep a smaller sentence: one extra look. “What is actually here?” If the old script still fits, keep it. If it does not, you do not owe this page a conversion story. Questioning a belief as a practice, not a rank: 7 reasons to question your beliefs and become a stronger person.

I will not tell you that judging a thought discounts an informational download. I will not tell you that conscience is a resistor that limits electricity. I will not tell you to rewire neurons from a blog. Prejudice can make you deaf. That is manners. It is not electronics.

Feeling is not ESP, and it is not a clinic

Bodies vote. A yes, a no, a tightness, a “not this.” That is gut as the first room of a map this library already uses: gut, heart, vision, belonging. Full map: 4 levels of intuition. Intuition as a skill, not a club: What is an intuitive and how to tell if you are one.

The live Awareness told Consciousness to trust intuition while being fearless, then to dictate the flow of electricity because you control your own capacitors. I will not. A hunch is a vote. It is not a telegram from a higher plane. It is not a command to ignore a fact. Gut-feel is not a medical warning sign. A tightness is not a diagnosis. If your body is in acute trouble — chest pain, a sudden weakness, breath you cannot catch, a mind that is not safe — get medical help. Do not sit with two words.

I dropped “everything you feel is a manifestation of our own Reality.” A feeling is a feeling. Some feelings match the room. Some are leftovers. Some belong with a clinician. I will not spiritualise a mood into a universe you created.

Love, God, an afterlife — those are named questions traditions sit with. I name them with respect. I do not prove them with oxytocin, and I do not disprove them with a chemical. This URL is not that courtroom. Metaphysics as a map, not a school: Spiritual metaphysics defined.

How little is enough

Pick one. One opinion caught as a sentence. One feeling named without making it a verdict. One sip where the looking and the drink are in the same place. Not a ladder. Not a frequency. Not ESP.

You can keep the faith you have, or none, and still notice where the attention went. Mindfulness is not a religion on this site.

I do not take 1:1 clients. There is no call to book. There is no reading. Leave with two words for looking, or leave with none.

This page is education, not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan.
