Ordinary naming of a feeling is the whole thesis. Not six signs as a dump. Not low-EQ as a dunk you use on a colleague. Not a club of people who scored higher. Not a contest with IQ. Not a guarantee that a rank will make a life succeed. Not a clinic that treats perception from a paragraph.
The live title sold 6 signs of low emotional intelligence and how it distorts your perception and behavior. I will not dump six. I will not keep low as a club. I will not keep intelligence as a rank you fail on a loud Tuesday. I will keep four weekday notes about how those slogans actually behave at a desk.
Two cousins already hold a different job. This URL does not clone them. Happiness strategies I will not keep as a guarantee — feeling is not an IQ: Happiness strategies of emotionally intelligent people. Four rooms of noticing, not a contest with a score: The four components of emotional intelligence more important than iq. Use this permalink when the search was six signs of low emotional intelligence.
I write as a public educator. Take one honest name into the week, or none, and leave. If you wanted a coach, an EQ seminar, a dunk you can quote at a meeting, a 1:1 who will raise your rank, or a promise that six signs treat a diagnosis, this is the wrong door — on purpose. New here? Start here. Who I am: About. Daily noticing: Wellness.
This page is not a rival ladder. Canon is nine movements on a spiral: The 9 stages of spiritual self realization. Naming a jaw on Monday is texture, not a tenth stage you fail. A low-EQ list is not a map of that spiral.
This is not a clinic. Moods have weather. Some weather needs a clinician. I will not sort perception, a personality, or a diagnosis from a blog. If a feeling is larger than a grey week — a mood that will not lift, a body that is not safe, a mind that is planning harm — stop. That is a clinician. In a crisis, local emergency services, not this inbox. The rule sits on Disclaimer.
Four notes, not a dunk you can issue
You do not need all four. Number one is not holier than number four. Pick the slogan that is loud this Tuesday.
- Naming a feeling is not a rank
- Courtesy without an empathy club
- A pause is not a personality you fail
- The next hour, not a contest with IQ
1. Naming a feeling is not a rank
The live dump sold self-awareness as a test you can fail: if you cannot name what you feel, you have low intelligence; that failure distorts how you see a room; people who score higher already know. I dropped the test. I dropped low as a verdict from a paragraph. I dropped distortion as a clinic I run from a library. I will keep a smaller sentence: naming what you feel is allowed.
“I am tight in the jaw after that message” is a Tuesday. “I have low EQ because I did not name it in time” is a dunk. You do not owe this page a catalogue of every feeling you missed this year. A colleague can be loud without being a specimen. Naming is not a purge.
What you may take: one honest name for a feeling already in the chair. Not a score. Not a personality you must produce by naming it.
2. Courtesy without an empathy club
The live dump sold empathy as the line between the intelligent and the rest: if you do not feel what the other person feels, you distort the relationship; people with high EQ already care correctly. I dropped empathy as a club. I dropped care as a certificate. I dropped “the rest” as a dunk. I will keep: one courteous hour toward a person already in front of you is allowed.
You do not have to feel what a stranger feels in order to be decent. You do not have to become a saint on a lunch break. A shorter reply, a door held, a sentence that does not need to win — that is manners. It is not a rank I issue. It is not proof that your perception is undistorted. A person can miss a cue and still not be a villain in a listicle.
What you may take: one kind sentence that does not require a glow. Not an empathy club. Not a dunk on people who are tired at 16:00. Not a guarantee that courtesy will make a life succeed.
3. A pause is not a personality you fail
The live dump sold regulation as control: if you snap, you have low EQ; if you cannot handle a remark, your behavior is distorted; intelligent people stay composed. I dropped control as a product. I dropped composed as a workplace certificate. I dropped snap as a personality you fail forever. I will keep: a pause before the next sentence is allowed.
The lunge is ordinary. A kettle that did nothing. A corridor already arguing with a meeting that has not started. A message you send and then cannot remember whether you were kind. A pause is not a talent. It is one breath, or the walk to the door, or the choice not to reply for ten minutes. You can still snap at 16:00. That is a person, not a failed rank. I will not mark you from a blog.
What you may take: one next sentence that waited. Not composure as a brand. Not a clinic that manages you. Not six signs as a verdict on a loud hour.
4. The next hour, not a contest with IQ
The live frame sold a contest: IQ versus EQ; EQ as the real predictor of a successful life; low EQ as the reason perception and behavior go wrong. I dropped the contest. I dropped life-success as a guarantee this URL delivers. I dropped IQ as a rival you must beat. I will keep two smaller sentences. One next hour with the person already here is allowed. A shorter call still counts. And a score on a paper you did not write is not the whole of a Tuesday.
You do not owe this page a proof that feeling outranks a test. You do not owe a proof that a test outranks feeling. More than one kind of noticing is ordinary. A life can be decent without a rank I issue. Success, as a poster, is not a product I sell from a library.
What you may take: one next hour, named honestly. Not a contest. Not a guarantee. Not a dunk on people whose scores look different from yours.
How little is enough
Pick one. One name for a feeling. One courteous sentence. One pause before the next reply. One next hour that is not a contest. Not six signs as a dump. Not low-EQ as a dunk. Not IQ versus EQ. Not a life I guarantee. Not a clinic.
Feeling is not a rank I issue from a library. I do not take 1:1 clients. There is no call to book. Leave with one practice, or with the Tuesday you already had.
