Ordinary noticing is the whole thesis. Not an IQ you raise. Not a dunk that finally reveals what intelligence really is. Not a clinic. Not a rank you fail by having a loud Tuesday.
The live title sold intelligence — why it is not understood and what is it really. I will not keep IQ as a rank. I will not keep “what it really is” as a dunk. I will keep four weekday notes about how those slogans actually behave at a desk.
Three cousins already hold a different job. This URL does not clone them. Feeling is not an IQ you raise: How to raise your spiritual and emotional iq. Looking inward is not an IQ you raise: Why is intrapersonal intelligence important and how to develop it. Happiness strategies I will not keep as a guarantee: Happiness strategies of emotionally intelligent people. Use this permalink when the search was what intelligence really is.
I write as a public educator. Take one noticing into the week, or none, and leave. If you wanted a coach, an IQ you raise, a 1:1 who will make you brilliant, or a promise that a paragraph treats attention, this is the wrong door — on purpose. New here? Start here. Who I am: About. Daily noticing: Wellness.
This page is not a rival ladder. Canon is nine movements on a spiral: The 9 stages of spiritual self realization. Naming a next hour on Monday is texture, not a tenth stage you fail.
This is not a clinic. Attention has weather. Some weather needs a clinician. I will not sort attention or a diagnosis from a blog. Not ADHD treatment. If a feeling is larger than a grey week — a mood that will not lift, a body that is not safe, a mind that is planning harm — stop. That is a clinician. In a crisis, local emergency services, not this inbox. The rule sits on Disclaimer.
Four notes, not a dunk on a score
You do not need all four. Number one is not holier than number four. Pick the slogan that is loud this Tuesday.
- A score is not a person
- Noticing is still a Tuesday
- More than one kind is ordinary
- A pause is not a talent you raise
1. A score is not a person
The live opening sold intelligence as a mystery the ordinary number has never understood: tests miss the real thing; a rank sorts who is bright; the rest of us were never measured honestly.
I dropped IQ as a rank this URL issues. I dropped “not understood” as a dunk on anyone who still uses a test. Schools and clinics have their own rooms. I am not those rooms. A number is not a verdict I stamp from a library.
“I scored” is a Tuesday in a hall. “I have finally learned what intelligence really is, and you have not” is a poster. You do not fail by caring how a class went. You do not win by sneering at a number.
What you may take: one honest look at the person already in the chair, without turning a score into a rank. Not a dunk.
2. Noticing is still a Tuesday
The live “what it really is” sold a reveal: true intelligence is awareness, or a mind that has woken. The rest was a lesser kind.
I dropped the reveal as a dunk. I dropped woken as a certificate. I will keep: noticing is still a Tuesday. A kettle. A jaw. A next hour named without a glow. That is more than a score. It is not a better-person product.
You can notice a tight shoulder and still snap at 16:00. That is a person, not a failed intelligence. What you may take: one name for what is already here. Not a spiritual IQ. Not a clinic.
3. More than one kind is ordinary
Some maps sketch more than one kind — language, space, music, the person in front of you, the person already here. Howard Gardner is a named thinker in that room, with respect. I am not a psychologist. I do not deliver his theory as a test. More than one kind is ordinary. A cook, a neighbour who hears a child, a person who can sit with a feeling — none need this page to rank them against a number.
I dropped “what it really is” as the one true kind that dunks the others. What you may take: one skill you already use this week, named without a contest. Not a syllabus.
4. A pause is not a talent you raise
The live close stacked raise, develop, outperform. Raise is a score in disguise. I dropped raise. I dropped train-a-lobe as a lesson I teach. Executive noticing already has a different door; this URL does not clone it: Executive intelligence characteristics.
I will keep: a pause before the next sentence is allowed. One breath. Ten minutes before a reply. You can still lunge. That is a person. A pause is manners toward the next hour, not a talent I raise, not treatment.
What you may take: one next sentence that waited. Not an IQ. Not ADHD care. Not a rank.
A score can sit on a paper you did not write. Noticing is smaller: a name for a feeling, a pause before the next sentence, the next hour planned without a contest. Leave the dunk on IQ. The Tuesday still asks to be met.
You do not have to become a more intelligent person in order to have a decent afternoon. You have to notice one thing, wait one sentence, and go on. That is enough education for this URL.
How little is enough
Pick one. One look that does not turn a score into a person. One name for what is already here. One skill you already use. One pause. Not a dunk. Not an IQ you raise. Not a clinic.
Intelligence is not a product I deliver from a library. I do not take 1:1 clients. There is no call to book. Leave with one practice, or with the Tuesday you already had.

This page is education, not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan. I write as Ultimate Wellness, a public educator — not a doctor, not an HPCSA-registered dietitian, and not a therapist. I don’t take 1:1 coaching clients from this library; take one useful idea and use it. If you have a condition, take medication, or need care, please see your own clinician — more on Disclaimer.
